The article written by Kübra Yazıcı Şahin, Research Assistant at the Department of Industrial Engineering, together with Prof. Dr. Alev Taşkın, Lecturer at Yıldız Technical University Department of Industrial Engineering, was published in the international WOS-SSCI Q1 indexed journal Natural Hazards. The study presents a methodology that predicts the size of the area burned in a forest fire to help effective resource planning in the fight against forest fires.
